The Birth of Miraglace™

We founded MIRAGLACE to bridge the gap between sculptural art, wearable luxury, and functional textile craft. We wanted a material that offered the brilliant clarity and rich color depth of fine jewelry, paired with the thermal resilience and strength required for everyday use.

The result is Miraglace™ our signature, high-strength borosilicate material engineered for dramatic light refraction, striking dimensional depth, and exceptional durability.

Our Process: Cold-Worked Precision, Kiln-Fused Strength

Unlike conventional methods that rely solely on molten shaping, our multi-step technique combines room-temperature accuracy with extreme heat:

• Cold Working: Every piece begins cold. We hand-carve, cut, grind, and shape individual borosilicate elements at room temperature to achieve exact geometries, internal apertures, and clean, architectural lines.

• Kiln Fusing: We meticulously assemble these carved parts and bring them to extreme temperatures in the kiln. High-heat fusion permanently bonds the components into a single, seamless, high-strength form.

• Hand Finishing: From hand-tying leather cordage with custom sliding knots to carefully finishing every surface, we complete every final detail right here in our workshop.
